Pierre Gillet
The black parts of the rear lights of my seven have some surface defects that I would like to remove. I was about to remove them and paint them in black after having filled the small groves etc. as appropriate, when I discovered that they are made of rubber. Has anyone done this before? In other words, can I improve the surface of rubber and paint it? Thank you for your thoughts Pierre
I.Mupferit
Bonsoir Pierre I recently saw some rather nice Stainless Steel shrouds which slipped over the black rubber light housings, then with the lens screwed back in place they looked original. I believe they may have been supplied by Vegantune in N.London. If you are interested, I should be seeing the owner of the car later this week and will ask him about them. Pierre Gillet
Brent, OhOh, you can write French! That's good! Yes, I am interested and if you have the opportunity to know where they can be bought please let me know. My car is in the 40th Anniversary guise that is very classic, so I figure that stainless steel would match. Merci d'avance! Pierre

I.Mupferit
Pierre Due to terrible weather (again!) I didn't see the guy with the Stainless rear light shrouds this week, but we have another meeting on Wednesday week so assuming dry weather (Ha) I will talk to him then. Sorry for the delay Brent
Pierre Gillet
Brent, the weather, Ah, the weather! It is awful here in the Paris neighbourhood too! We need to move to Provence to really enjoy our Sevens! I have applied some Plastic/Rubber wax and it looks better. But I am still intersted in both the carbon and SS shrouds. Salut, Pierre
