Faded carbon

ROC

Recommended Posts

The carbon on my superlight has faded very badly after 7 months in the Sri Lankan sun. It is now a rather dull grey and so I was pondering about spraying them.

Any tips - do I need anything special, do I even need primer?

thanks for the help.

Have you tried cleaning it?

Try

Boat Wax that has UV protectors (boats get more UV exposure than cars due the water reflection) is the thing to protect CF and plastic garden furniture from UV.

You should be so lucky to get so much sun. But I must admit to not wanting endless sun and the need to protect everything including myself!

Your right Arnie - maybe some would have been more specific . I just didnt want anyone going out and wasting £5 on MER if they have laquered wings .

However , I have seen genuine caterham noses laquered or finished to a smooth gloss , whatever the finish may be ??

Whilst the wings are not . This is on a new car ??!!
