Support Team c7trp Posted September 15, 2008 Support Team Share Posted September 15, 2008 Does anyone know where to get those top-hat shaped spring clips that press onto the end of steel rods. Bit hard to describe really. They hold the wheels on a childs toy and just press onto the end of a 6mm bar. Cheers Tim
Bellissimmo
I'm pretty sure I've seen these at our local DIY warehouse. Worth giving them a try. Steve
Stationary M25 Traveller
They are called starlocks. Available from any decent fastener supplier. We used them on plain stainless hinge pins as a cost-saving measure, but they weren't as secure as external circlips in a groove on the shaft. Stationary M25 Traveller
Afterthought - we used open ones, I guess there is another variety called domed or closed starlocks perhaps ? Google came up with loads of sites - here is a typical one. Edited by - Stationary M25 Traveller on 16 Sep 2008 08:13:
