We have just got back from Aintree following our long weekend in North Wales (with plenty of liquid sunshine!) and the envelope for Wiscombe has arrived without a list of entries.

this letter business for the dual drives is a bit of a pain. (and the regs remind us to use tidy lettering)

I'm trying to do something artistic with some number 7's I have .... and I'm already cobbling together a 9 from a 3 and a 0 ... we don't need numbers on the front as well do we!? 😳

You can buy black or white fablon at some decorator stores.

 

Make a template using Word or Wordpad, setting the point size to a suitably large value. Stencil it onto the falbon, then cut out.

 

Remember to thumb the sticky side of the letters before putting on the car (makes it easier to remove + won't leave a sticky mark)

 

I've been making my main numbers in this way - works pretty well.

Or you can get carbon effect fablon......unfortunately it make sod all difference to my times ☹️
