Regulated 12v supply (for bullet cam).

My bullet cam died a couple of weeks ago and the replacement has a big warning inside saying only to use 12v regulated supply.

Has anyone found a regulated power supply that will regulate car battery/alternator output to 12v?

The ones I have found in Maplin pass the car voltage straight through when on their 12v setting - i.e. un regulated (typically 13 - 14.5 volts).

Has anyone else had a bullet cam fail when powered from the car electrics?

Edited to say - now found one here 4th from bottom.

I ran my old one direct from the car for a couple of years but it packed up at Curborough a couple of weeks ago. The new one has a big notice in the box "Regulated 12V DC input only" and a wonderful Chinese translation "Unless follow above order, warranty void!"

In the interests of not blowing another one up I thought a regulated supply might help. The one from dogcamsport is purpose made and looks pretty neat. For £10 I thought it it would be worth a try.
