Roger Ford
Blimey, < 10K?? That's ridiculously cheap. Is it road registered? Oops - yes it is. Missed that bit. Would make a good Megagrad with a few mods. Edited by - Roger Ford on 1 Sep 2008 16:20:
MarchHare2008
It is! (Road registered, that is. Well, and ridiculously cheap too, of course) It's SORNed at the moment as no MOT and not road legal without lights. Not too difficult to refit for road use though. Roger Ford
You don't need lights to be road legal - only to drive at night. You can get a so-called "Daytime MOT" - which is actually just an ordinary MOT on a car which isn't fitted with lights. Is it wet or dry sump? MarchHare2008
True, although I don't know if they require a fog lamp or reversing light. Maybe not. Anyway, wet sump. It has the apollo tank which is a circa 2-3 litre tank which acts as a reservoir to guard against oil surge on track. As far as I know this is more than adequate on cars running road tyres and where the g forces are lower. Plus the engine is only 120 bhp so is not particularly stressed. Roger Ford
Not for £9995, I'll bet! What did you trade it in for?
MarchHare2008
A CDX kit, looking forward to building another car, thoroughly enjoyed it last time round. I quite like the revvy little K 1.6 and my 17 year old son wants to try out some track driving so I thought it should be a good compromise between a track car suitable for a novice and a car for the road.
