Car is rarely ever redlined, no need plenty of torque, and driven with respect, not thrashed. Mileage is approx 11,750k. New MOT on 01.09.08 for 1 year. Registered in the UK (SVA) in August 2003. Presently taxed. Regularly serviced by me each year. Tyres are Toyo R888, new less than 2000 miles ago and lots of tread. Just had new brake pads front as I thought braking was not as good as should have been, old ones still could have done another 20k!!! Only selling as I want to build an all carbon 7 with ridiculous power!!! Why I am not sure but always had this aim. I have the chassis but need to sell this seven to finance the build. Open to offers over £22,000. Being a rare LHD version I expect interest from abroad. Happy to help but will not be giving the full chassis number out, please don’t ask! The car is on UK plates, is similar to an R400. It does not have a certificate of conformity for Europe but as it has been registered in the UK I understand it can be registered in Europe, if you are prepared to do all the paperwork. Have a look at the link below for the build. Any questions please ask. Email either sale@carbon-bits.com or easiclad@tiscali.co.uk (Although from abroad the Tiscali does not always work) or call me on 013873 75777 between 9am-approx 7pm. RiF
RJ, yes I know, after living in France for 14 years how each area/department would vary the regulations. Hi Peter, I have a plan Had a chassis sitting here for 3 years so think I should now built it up 😬 RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
Alba 7
I've seen this car and the finish could only be classed (in the nicest possible way) as anal 😬 Richard has made a perfect job of tasks I didn't even realise needed doing. Other than having the steering wheel on the wrong side, it is a perfect car. Would really suit any budding carbon tarts

Mickrick
Unfortunately it depends very much on the local regs in the country. Guess it could JUST pass here because it's pre October 2003... If it's registered in U.K., and passed SVA (which it is/has) then, it's a case of registering it in the country it's being imported to. I've had a few people ask me about importing thier car into Spain. A lot of folks think a car has to be Homoligated. Not the case with a personal import. It just has to be re-registered. Over here, it's paperwork, (which can be done by a Gestor.) and the equivelent of an M.O.T. My old LHD U.K. registered car went to Belgium, (I believe the only thing that needed changing were the the harnesses. somthing to do with the buckles) It's now been sold again, and registered in France. No problems. E.C. countries have an obligation to accept other E.C. registered vehicles. In Spain, a resident has six months to do it. Linky here Nice car 🥰 Good luck with the sale. Slider7
I bought Mickrick’s LHD VVC R300 back in 2006 ... and indeed had no problems getting it registered here in Belgium (I only had to change the CC 4-point harness because it didn’t have the CE-label) Sold the car in 2007 to a chap in France ☹️ ... and up to this day, he's still busy trying to get it registered ... so I would say it really depends on the regulations of each individual country. Btw, very nice car ... unfortunately not the right moment for me ☹️
Scalper
Here in Italy as long as the car has a current mot it can be easily imported and the authorities only look at the paperwork... there's not even the need to have the car tested. However one of the many bits of paper required by the Italian vehicle licensing agency is a spec sheet issued by the manufacturer listing all the technical details of the car. Especially on a non standard seven Caterham Cars can at times be a bit reluctant to issue such a document. So I don't think that Richard's car could easily be registered here in Italy. Slider7
Hello Slider! Back from the dark side? 😬 I thought I saw a picture of R300 MRH with French plates? Sorry. 😳 Hello Mickrick No need to say sorry ... In France it seems that you can get a temporary registration (which is only valid for 2 weeks) during the registration proces ... so it is possible that you actually have seen a picture of 'la belle' with french plates ... Btw, sorry for the off-topic comments on your thread RIF Have a BTT on me and good luck selling this fantastic looking car I sold both my LHD Caterhams using the (french) 'autoroule' forum here “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away” Antoine de Saint Exupery Edited by - Slider@7 on 2 Sep 2008 22:39:
