I'd travelled up from Wiltshire with the bike on the back I was just going to play in Whinlatter forest on the MTB. Hope I waved back . . . if not thanks. Drove A686 Penrith to Alston while I was there WOW what a road, people where really good and pulled over for me, can't wait to be back in the Lakes again. My folks are in Cliburn so not fare from there . . . its just im 5 - 6 hrs from them ☹️ I thought the secret of A686 was safe with me but CC have added it to their website as one of Britans best road.
