steyning
Hi - I have purchased a second hand Longacre Ignition Switch Panel, (item 2 on page 257 of 2008 DTweeks catalogue). It consists of a heavy duty, on/off toggle switch with safety flip up cover and two rear terminals, and a starter button, also with two terminals. One of the button terminals is linked by short black cable to one of the switch terminals. This then extends away from the switch on a yellow wire, to a 3-way multi-socket. The other button terminal has a separate green wire running to the 3 way socket, whilst the remaining other switch terminal has a dark brown wire running to the third part of the multi-connector. To which cables (colour identification) do I connect the Longacre green, Yellow and dark brown in the Rover K series (1996 Reg) ignition harness to replace the ignition key as a starter to fire up the car for competition use next season?
