Neil A
Stupid question, I know but it is already one of those weeks... I am about to travel Europe in a few weeks in the Seven and thought it would be prudent to take a litre of oil. However I can't find anywhere nearby that sells the Comma stuff in a one Litre bottles. Is there any issue with buying a cheap litre of something else, emptying it and putting the comma stuff it it? Should I clean out the container and if so what with? Cheers Fellas, smoke me a kipper, I'll be blatting for breakfast.
kenny.
No issue........If you'd bought a car that had been run on Lidls finest then decided to run it on nice Mobil 1 10/40 you wouldn't think twice about the possibility of there being remnants of dirty old cheapo oil in there. Well I wouldn't anyway Kenny
Allen Payne
Altrernatively I believe they do sell oil in Europe, so unless you know you're going to need some why take it with you?
CageyH
I used a one litre drink bottle, and put the bottle upright behind the seat. Did the same for antifreeze as well.... Oh, Mobil 1 is cheaper over in Europe, and comes in 5 litre cans, so just leave enough space for a couple for the return journey. Only dead fish go with the flow....! KeithT
Bought an own brand synthetic 5W40 at a French supermarket when touring in our XF. Seemed fine and quite cheap.
Neil A
Cheers. Was concerned about mixing oils mainly, hence taking some with me. Good idea about keeping it upright behind the seat.
