Violet Elizabeth
Have just got a little convex racetech centre mirror to attatch to my brooklands stachion. Looks like I wont be able to countersink bolts from underneath to fit it like the screen feet. So thinking about drilling the scuttle and bolting from underneath with a sizeable washer or two. Am I on the right lines, or has anyone else fitted one of these in a better way ? Cheers,
stevefoster
Don't quite see why you cannot drill the stanchion and countersink from underneath... I am using the washer bottle hole with the paint protected by a stickey pad for the mirror with my JPE screen. A little brace between the mirror and the JPE screen mount stops all vibration and negates wind deflection of the mirror at speed. Violet Elizabeth
Could do that with the SPA mirror, which have 3 bolt holes in the base. But the racetech one has in integral bolt as part of the adjustment mechanism. So it has to bolt down into something instead of up from something. Oh well. Might be a good thing as will give more support to the whole screen structure.
