pie_boy69
I spoke to the guys at the parts desk (Caterham) this morning and there are two types of screen the JPE smoked perspex, and the R500 carbon fibre, the guy on the other end of the phone told me that the R500 was better (but he would being that its #100 more) actualy he said that this is due to being a little better at pushing the air round but mainly due to the mirror mounts???? Can anyone enlighten me please. Keith Pickering superlight T7 KCP
PACR
I'd assume that the Carbon fibre one will not crack when the mirrors are mounted on it, as long as you have nice, smooth holes. Perspex ones apparently crack where mirrors are bolted to them. Check the mailing list archive at www.se7ens.net - the subjects been done to death..... pfreeman
Don't know about the JPE screen, but the mirrors on my R500 screen are bolted on VERY firmly and give excellent visibility, unlike the centre mounted one which just gives a blur view of colours you've left behind !!
