Geoff C
Please 🤔 😬 Does anyone know to hand the thread of the hose connectors? I have 2 pipes, one with 2x 90 degree connectors like thisbends and 1 with a 90 degree bend at one end and 120ish degree at the other. I need to order relevant parts (aeroquip push on range)from Think this week but have not sure what thread size to ask for. Also is the FC322 hose suitable? And if so what size bore? Car is 98 SLR with caterham dry sump. Many thanks in advance... Geoff
Rob Walker
Geoff, The pipe fittings are BSP and are either 1/2" or 5/8" simply measure the outside diameter ot the threaded boss to determine which. Merling sell the fittings, and for what its worth I wouldn`t use push on pipe fittings on my car. Suggest you cut your old fittings off and get Merlin to swage your old fittings onto some new pipe. BE SURE TO WASH OUT THE PIPES BEFORE USE, as there will swarf from cutting the braiding within the pipes. Rob
Rob Walker
At only £16 from CC I would just get a replacement and save the hassle 😬
Geoff C
Cheers Rob, I had a feeling it was 5/8 but will measure them when I get home. I am tempted with just replacing them with Caterham ones for that price, but as I'm getting back a sparkly engine this week and I am a bit of a tart 😬 the colourful ones would look cool....
