Steve Day
Hi Tim imo - I suggest you keep them - far more sticky (and fun) for trackdays - list 1A tyres simply have far less 'grip' (even the 'sticky' ones)! cheers STEVE
Tim Sture
General announcement - I will be competing on list 1a tyres at MIRA! So I'll be in class 4. Phew! Not that I've much chance of being a lot nearer the top of the class, I suppose. Still, we'll have to see! I might also be competing at Llandow now, although going to Goodwood on the Saturday will make it a tiring weekend. Steve - I don't have the funds to have a spare set of wheels and tyres just for track days, and really want to keep the same tyres on all the time so I can get used to them and concentrate on getting the best out of them (and me!). Plus, it's usually wet in Lancashire where I live and go blatting. Plus, realistically, I'd be too lazy to swap the wheel/tyre combos around! Plus Low Flying has arrived so I'm going home to collect it so I can enter Curborough smile.gif It's all go! Coming soon to a garage near me - a Superlight called N111 AOW
Jason Plato
Kenny , Rac sprints state that you must have list 1a tyres for roadgoing / modified kit ..etc , CR500's on list 1B !!! . So they wouldnt be permitted in most championships . dave
kenny.
That's right Dave, in normal RAC rounds the CR500's would be up against slick shod cars. Kenny SLR
