andy_h Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I'm selling on behalf of my brother-in-law who now lives in Germany and they won't let him import it ☹️ Updated to explain why:- Because the MoT / TÜV is more strict in Germany and he would have to prove that all the modified parts are registered as applicable for this vehicle - which they are not. i.e. scorpion springs would have to be changed back, and many more improvement mods etc. 1988 Defender 90 200 TDI Engine (original engine was 2.5TD) 103k (83k on 200 TDI engine) Reconditioned transfer-box 10 months MOT Tax till end Aug (so hurry if you want a test drive) Scorpion 1inch lift & 20% uprated springs Gas-shocks Safari Snorkel Rock Sliders Front underbody protection Capstan winch Mud tyres CB-Radio Roll bar (not currently fitted but type as seen on Army Rovers) Rear door needs welding but have spare for fitting Rear bench seats Spare new UJ’s for prop (existing don’t need doing, just spares) Owner now overseas. £3,500 ono. Tel Andy 0781 7269 595 (Bucks) Extras by negotiation:- - Tool box and mounting kit in back (£20) - Winch rope (£40) - Trailer Board (£20) - Also have old style flat bed caravan trailer, and a very old Army trailer (possibly early Series 1 Sankey) but needs work. pic here I know the history as I was there when he bought it, and I know all the work done on it since. I've also been present off roading (I've a 1969 SIIa) and the 90 is a very capable machine, in the right hands. I'm selling it for him but I live in Hampshire and it's at his Mums house in Bucks. So if you want to view/test drive it won't be a short notice evening type .
