Frying Pan
It was our annual 'Wheels' event today, where employees get to bring in their toys and drive round our test track (built on the old V-Bomber runway) at Gaydon. There were a couple of other Se7ens, and the following other cars: Fiat 124 Sport Spider Alfa Romeo 1750GTV BMW E36 M3 Burlington Arrow Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray L-79 roadster Elise 135R Ferrari 308 GT4 Ferrari Dino Ford Sierra Cosworth GTM Libra Honda S2000 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Jaguar XJR Lotus 340R Lotus Elise (2 off) Lotus Esprit LR RAM Cobra Marcos Mantula Spyder MGB Mini se7en Porsche 944 S2 Porsche 911 (3 off) Porsche Boxster Renault Clio V6 Saab 96 de-luxe Subaru Impreza P1 Subaru Impreza Turbo Toyota MR2 Mk1 supercharger Triumph GT6 Mk2 Triumph GT6 Mk3 Triumph Spitfire Triumph Stag Volvo C30 R-Design VW Beetle Westfield (2 off) The track is not a race track, so the barriers are pretty close, and you have to stay in lane (4 of them) round the corners but great fun. We went out in two groups. I passed loads of cars, and only got passed by one -the 911 C4S, which absolutely monstered me down the main straight! He hit 162mph... I took my boss out and after the first corner where he was very scared he really enjoyed it See some pictures of the build here. 14000 miles completed! Stationary M25 Traveller
Sounds like a great car park at work. Do you employ anyone with a 'normal' car, or is that not allowed !! 7 related photos
Frying Pan
Thought one of the people driving looked familiar, and have just Googled him. He was head of Lotus Design when they did the original Elise, and is now Chief of Advanced Design for Jaguar. He was driving his Dino 🥰 See some pictures of the build here. 14000 miles completed!
