Wight Skipper
Anyone know where I could get hold of a pair second hand? Thanks!
LesG
I have a pair of dellorto 40's in the garage, would they be any good?
Wight Skipper
They might be OK. How much are you after and when were they last used? Cheers.
LesG
Hiya, £150 + postage will be fine, not sure about their history; they came packaged in one of the many boxes I received when I bought my car. They look about the same condition as the webers that were on my car, if that's anything to go by. If the price is ok with you, I'll take them to my local rolling road tuner who is a carb specialist, let him check them over, and let you ring him for an impartial view, how does that sound? Cheers, Les.
Wight Skipper
Les, many thanks for the offer! I will check with my neighbour, who is building the car, to see what he wants to do. All the best and thanks again!!
LesG
Skipper, I have talked to the tuning guy today, and he says there's nothing between webers or dellortos, in fact, he says you quite often get better flow through the dellortos. I'm on the look-out for a pair of 7x13 rear alloys for my dedion car, if you had some spare, maybe we could do a deal? Let me know. Cheers, Les.
