viperbl
I can't remember exactly who I was speaking to at the Manx Hill Climb last month, but he mentioned that you guys use ACB-10 equivalents for events, due to the high cost of the ACB-10's ... and these tyres where just as good, possibly a little down on grip for the first couple of corners on the track, but just as good there on in ... I have tried R888's, and did not rate them much, the ACB-10's are just out of this world, but, also out of this world in price!!! Can anyone let me know the name of these tyres???? Mark Durrant
The tyres are the Kumho Ecsta V70a in the soft compound. Details of how to order are on this thread here. However, prices have just gone up by £5 per tyre so drop Simon an email first also you will need to check the shipping costs if your on the Isle of Man. viperbl
Thanks Mark I Notice that is 175 and then 215, guess what, I am using 7.0/21.0-13 (195's) all round! Do you know if the 215's will fit ok ?
rgrigsby
What width wheels are you running? 6/6.5" wheels would be fine with the 175's (they are not actually as narrow as they sound), if you have 7" rims then the 215 would be fine. As an aside if you need some 215's I have 2 brand new 215 V70's in soft compound in my garage that I'm looking to sel!
