FTH
here How tempting is that. Surely it could be sold complete as a track car Edited by - FTH on 7 Jun 2008 10:35:
DaveMorris
How the hell did that end up as Cat B write off. Madness - and no need.
Molecular--Bob
lots of flood damaged cars end up Cat b, not sure why. Breakers must retain or destroy chassis on cat B i think, so not even the option of track use only. FTH
How do you register to be a breaker? 😬
Anthony A
Is there any way you could rebuild the car, given that a new chassis appears to be all thats required, and register it on anything but a Q plate, Im guessing so, I think its doubtful it would get an age related plate as you cant use a "scrapped vehicle" as a donor car. Any thoughts
paul jacobs
I very much doubt you would get an age related plate, it would certainly be a 'Q', that would knock a great big hole in its' finished value, plus all the work of stripping it and then rebuilding it. Frankly, I'm not so sure that Caterham would be too happy about supplying a chassis for it either, given that they won't even sell a CSR as a kit any longer. Much caution is required here I fancy 😶🌫️ Paul J. Loud pipes save lives, but quiet ones save your hearing.
The Pikey
Total madness. Now I know why insuance premiums are so high.. Ok, pay the owner out but that car is no where near a right off and should have been classed as a catagory thats repairable. j
