The Village Idiot
Subooteo (or however you spell it) - I always sent the goal flying with the goalie trying to save a penalty, waving him around on the end of a long stick 😬, ahh childhood memories, jumpers for goalposts, in the park, hmm, whats it all coming to? Funny ol' game Ron Manager
La vache espagnole
> ... Ah, I see why you might prefer Rugby, if that had been a Rugby penalty it would have gone clean over your head... 😬 Not that I will tolerate a ban on the boot-full game though. At least you didn't condone the abomination that is American "football"... nothing...
The Village Idiot
OI 😔 it's a good game to watch, them yankees know how to prolong something (look at the wars they fight now, a whole world can have a war in 4 years, the yanks now can make a war in some hot, tinpot place last decades). The longer the game the more beer you drink, the more beer the more intersting 'the sport' is. This is where F1 is going wrong, if it was 3 hours a race instead of 1 1/2 hours you would be so sloshed you wouldn't care that there was no overtaking and it was won in the pits. This is the reason test cricket is so popular - 5 days of being permanantly pissed 😬 Dicks Going cold turkey - but have a date for 'The Homecoming'

pinkprincess
In the absence of pinkprincess for the next week I shall have to take temporary charge over the cheering-on Sweden duties. Should they be eliminated in the group stages I'd like to stipulate that it was definitely not my fault. If they lose on penalties to Germany, which is how every team usually gets knocked out, after next Sunday then it's hers. So good luck Benny, Bjorn, Ulrika......erm, is the chef from The Muppets still playing? What's the prize for winning? It's just that I could do with a new set of rear wings..... The Village Idiot
If them Portuguese guys keep winning are we going to have Del running into the shed shouting and changing his sig every game - after all he does have form for getting 'a tad excited' in this type of situation Dicks Going cold turkey - but have a date for 'The Homecoming'
