Alex Birtwisle
I was having a nose behind the seats this evening and noticed two brackets sticking out of the rear bulkhead behind both the driver and passenger seat - they have holes in them .... does anyone know what purpose they may serve? Cheers Alex

Alex Birtwisle
This is an "S" reg se7en....they do not look strong enough to mount seat belts on - I thought they could be mountings to put the 5th & 6th points of a race harness on - but they look too weak... Alex Birtwisle
Well, what ever they are designed for I am using one of them as a brolly stand ... stops it moving around too much on those high G corners! Chelspeed
The adjustable S type seats of that era have fore and aft rails on the bottom. The rear of the rail bolts to these brackets, the front of the rails bolts to the chassis tube that runs across the car at the front of the seat. As I have a bag seat these brackets are not used for the seat but make completely acceptable mounts for the crotch straps.
