N1ck
To any current users, what sort of clearance do you get between bottom of can and floor? Any grounding issues? Regards, Nick.
Johnty Lyons
You'll only get grounding issues if youve got the worm drive of the big jubilees at the Bottom or the exit pipe turned down instead of Out 1 slacken clips and have worm drives between can and body 2 Slacken pipe in Collector and twist upwards till exit pipe is parallel with ground Problems solved. jj N.I. rgrigsby
I've been running a Raceco 7.25" silencer for the last 3-4 years, whilst I don't have any ground clearance issues in normal use I have bashed it on the ground a few times in unusal circumstances such as going over a hidden cattle grid in the USA a bit too fast! I've also grounded it on kerbs on track whilst sprinting. Cheers Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com
Support Team Shaun_E Posted June 4, 2008 Support Team Share Posted June 4, 2008 I have a Caterham 7" race exhaust and in normal use it doesnt' ground. If the jubilee clip that holds the silencer to the collector comes a little loose then the exit pipe can drop and hit the ground. Also the exhaust is quite heavy and I seem to go through exhaust mounting bobbins on a regular basis.
