If CR500s are up to the job, then why do other tyres not fail when the tyre pressures are not optimal? I'm currently using CR500s but assessing the performance/cost/wear, they're probably the least impressive tyres I've had on the 7. Yokohamas here I come .......

about 5 degrees attributable to that, fronts have about 10 degrees difference inside/outside walls

Variation in sidewall temperatures partly due to heat under car and airflow, but probably more significantly due to the negative camber, 1.5 deg on rears, 1.5 to 2 deg on fronts. Inner sidewall carrying more load.
