hole in my tank

Ahh - got to the garage last night almighty smell of petrol. humm I say wonder where that is comming from.

 

Look under the tank and yup its leaked all over the floor (only had 2 gallons in it)

 

look for where the leak is comming from and it apears to be between the rear of the car and the tank.

 

How difficult are these to change - I haven't put the boot or the roll bar on yet -

 

ahhhhhhh pissed off hope caterham can get one to me by friday or sat as meant to have sva on the 7th

These are easy to change - especially if you've not got the floor or Bar on. I had this on my ex-Xflow.

 

Apart from the bolts that hold the straps on (dont forget the rubber "insultors" the only other things are the feul lines and filler and the level guage.

 

It should not take long at all.

good news caterham say they will change it when I come in for my Pre-SVA test

I had a leak around the fuel pump bottom right corner when viewed from the rear, necessitated new gasket and purchase of small cross head screw driver and much cursing and rasping of fingers.

Mine sponatneously started leaking big time today (ok - there was a small drip 2 days ago) but today it just dropped all it's petrol suddenly. Wierd...
