CSR 200 Click of death

Have an intermittent problem, namely when turning ignition on, clicky, clicky and fuel pump does not prime.

When first happened, the inertia switch had unset for no reason, but upon resetting no problem. 2nd time the engine just cut out whilst driving which was disconcerting.

Switch seemed ok and after an hour and one last try before recovery call, it started.

Had switch replaced under warranty a few months ago and although I still had problems a few taps on the switch seemed to resolve.Just been out and the ruddy car cut out again whilst driving - good job I wasn't overtaking.

Am considering bypassing the inertia switch, but wondering if this is actually the problem.

Would be grateful to hear if others have similarly suffered/any suggestions

Just put a shorting link across the inertia switch , then you can eliminate this as a possible cause of your problem.
