Steve Day
1800 K series engine (only!) - High Spec Pistons – Accralite Steel Rods – H–pattern (sourced via QED) VHPD crank VHPD Head – ported Ivey Big Valves – 32.5mm inlet / 28.5mm exhaust Cams – Piper ARK BP300M Titanium Valve retainers Verniers Caterham dry sump pan Fully balanced Uprated oil pump Fuel rail (no injectors – can be sourced) Jenvey Throttle Bodies (** can be bought less these) It doesn’t currently have a flywheel fitted The engine was built by Nigel Keats (Cougar Engineering) and rolling roaded at Mech Repairs in 2006 producing 209 BHP (213bhp with no air filter!). Torque figures to be confirmed. It was built as a ‘no expense spared’ engine! It was used for 5 hill climbs at the end of 2006 and around 6 at the beginning of 2006 – it has done less than 1,000 miles since being built - I only removed it to fit the 224bhp K-series now in K88 RUM. It was set up on DTA engine management – not included – although the map can be. Looking for around £3,950 for it – you couldn’t build it for this! – or, if you want it without the Jenveys it would be £3,450 cheers Steve - 07836 384473
Jason Plato
note - my emerald rollers 210bhp K series read 191bhp at mech repairs a few weeks later. So the power could well be more ............. it never held Steve back thats for sure 😬 Taffia rear gunner
