Andy G
I admit to being an engineering idiot, so any help would be gratefully appreciated. I have to fit a timing strut ( before Saturday ). What is the best method of fixing? 1. Bolt it to the number plate? 2. Fix it ( somehow ) to the grill? 3 Drill holes in the nosecone ? On a recent "reccy" to Lydden I saw all three methods used. Urgent reply would be appreciated. Andy G
Eric McLoughlin
Sevenners do it through the grill.
peterg
It really doesn't matter how you attach it so lonag as it is vertical and between 200mm and 454mm off the ground (ie. it's 254mm high and about 50mm wide) at Shelsley Walsh the other week almost every car I looked at had a different strut fitted although most se7ens (including mine) had them fitted via the grille
David Ward
A pair of shortened cavity wall expanding bolt thingys is excellent for lightly fixing the strut onto the "7" grille......I think it was Mr. Wong who originally told me this.
