SJL
Just upgraded 1.6K engine to supersports spec and took it out for a blat at the weekend. Noticed that the high speed (80-90mph) stability is not good - car fidgets around the road alarmingly - is this normal or do I need the toeing checked (it should be OK since its only recently had the post build check). Tires at set to 20psi and everything else is standard. Is it a case of "they all do that sir" ?
Fred
i know the feeling simon are you on cr500 if so try 18 rear 16 front and set tracking to parallel for road use. you may have to try difirent settings for track days they do fidget at this speed . i think it is a lack of confidence on my parteek.gif fredid=blue> eek.gif

Peter Carmichael
Tyre pressures certainly sound a bit high. There are all sorts of things you can do with the suspension to get the car settled at high speed. I would agree with Fred that zero toe is a good starting point. A slightly lower rear ride height might also help.
