Apologies if this has been discussed a doen times or so, but can anyone advise on most suitable ACB 10 compound for road/track days, as I understand there are 2/3 compounds

Secondly, where is the best place to get these please ?

Many thanks

If I need ACB's or CR500's, I have them sent from Avon tyres. Next day delivery and no agent costs.

I don't know much about compounds, but ring this guy.

Depends on how much power/weight you have and intended use.

Caterham supply hard compound (A33). For most Sevens, this is too hard and seldom gets up to temperature. In high summer at trackdays they might be perfect however. A30 compound is a medium compound that works resonably well. Avon don't do the big 8 inch rears in A30, so you get those in A29.

A24 compound is what Arnie and I were running at Curborough. Arnies tyres are worn out after one test day and four runs on the day. They won't last any time on the road.
