Tarek
Playing under the bonnet with young Mr Gardener, we found a pipe from the top of the Apollo to the casing. At the casing, it seemed loose. What does it do? More to the point, how do you tighten it since the bolt at the connection with the casing dorsn't seem to move. Any ideas? Oh, it's a VVC if that makes any difference. F355GTS
Tarek it's a vent/ breather hose. The male threaded part fitted in the rocker cover has a locking nut, to tighten this joint if it's lose(like mine!) you have to take the rocker cover off to hold the nut on the inside. Tarek
Thanks Mark, Looks like I know what I'll be doing tonight then! I wonder what the record is for damage done whilst trying to tighten a nut?! Tarek

CHRIS CLARK
When I first fitted the Caterham kit it had a couple of crush washers for sealing this air/oil bleed fitting to cam box. Useless items! They are best replaced with a solid washer and a bit of sealant. Problem on mine now solved as a one way valve now fitted to give instant oil pressure reading as opposed to the slight delay that normally accompanies Apollo tanks! John Vine
Like Chris, I fitted the one-way valve, but put mine part way along the breather hose. This saved having to open up the existing hole in the cam cover and fiddling around with adaptors. And yes, it works! Instant oil pressure.
