neil.cavanagh
Adrian, from a standing start lapped Goodwood at an average speed of c.98.5 mph. Frank Sytner, and Barrie Williams in Lotus 24 and a BRM respecitvely averaged 96.5 mph in the Glover Trophy at the Revival last year to finish 1st and 2nd. Adrian would have been in the top ten of the Whitsun Trophy to, up against Lola T70, Ferrari 250LM and GT40s. Not bad for a 50 years old relic..... 😬 😬 😬

Adrian Williams
I'll have you know the car is 5 years older than me. 😬 v.max according to the data logger was 135mph on the limiter in 6th approaching both no name and woodcote. I'm ashamed to say I felt the need to touch the brakes before turning into no name, I didn't think a lift was going to do it. Adrian
neil.cavanagh
Adrian, In my weedy SV I think I was pulling around 125 at those two points... speedo was showing over 150 before it broke, but calibration runs mid-week suggest that is around 125-128mph. A BIG lift was needed at No-name for me, so a brake with 10mph extra would be 'prudent'!!! 😬 😬 Cracking time... Mark and SImon will be worried men...
