Carbon Exhaust Cans

Anybody know a supplier of carbon exhaust cans to suit sevens? Want to try and smarten up the

side a bit. [may even save a bit of weight]!

James Whiting can supply a really good looking carbon silencer, but expensive I believe. Still, it's only money and thats what Sevens are for (well, one of the things anyway)

Go and look in a big motorbike shop, bikers use flash carbon exhausts. If you get one for a largest capacity bike (1100cc) it should be fine for a car. Bikes rev far higher than cars so the peak volume (VMax) of gas moved is higher. So...a much bigger car engine could use a bike exhaust ok. One thing to remember, it's going to be very loud.

Try SBD Motorsport at www.sbdev.co.uk, they were very helpfull to me and also manufacture a very neat carbon silencer.

Don´t forget about the disadvantages of a carbon silencer: carbon tends to burn to ashes if it gets too hot, so a constant repacking of the exhaust is very important. Not too long ago I saw a R500 at Spa which burned far more than 2 carbon exhausts on one day....

If you can't find a decent exhaust in this country, Japan do some great exports that (although not carbon) do visually enhance your car.
