Bellissimmo
It's "dropping the engine in" time in the bellissimmo garage next weekend (3rd, 4th, 5th) so I'm looking for a hoist. I'm (almost 😬) equally happy to borrow, hire (money to lender or NTL) or buy (assuming price is right). I'm SE Kent so prefer Kent, Sussex, Essex areas. Can any blatchatters assist? Oh, and it needs to go in the back of a Golf or Escort hatch  Steve

Brucey
Steve, I have an engine hoist and straps you can borrow FOC (donation to NTL if you want). I've just put an 1800K in my 7 with the car up on axle stands with no problems. If your near enough, I'll even give you a hand! It folds up and should fit into most hatch backs no problem. I live in Saltwood near Hythe. Bruce. Bellissimmo
Bruce, Many thanks, I'll definitely take you up on the loan (with something to NTL). I'm in Hawkinge so no huge distance. You'll be more than welcome if you want to give a hand - but please don't feel obliged, it's enough that you are prepared to lend the hoist. Steve

Bellissimmo
I'd just like to say a public "Thank you" to Bruce for the kind loan of his engine hoist.  Just returned from the garage battered, bruised and totally cream crackered but with a huge grin and my engine in. My co-mechanic Andy (17) and I have just fitted our first engine between us (about 3.5 hours) and we are both quietly proud of what, for us, is a major milestone in the build. and we couldn't have done it without the geneorous and helpful nature of Bruce in particular and Blatchatters in general. Thanks again Bruce. John Howe
Godd news indeed... so when you planning to take the engine out again and what will the nature of that upgrade be? JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 230bhp Sausage delivery machine
Bellissimmo
That's something I'll leave for later - at least until I get used to what I already have!!! Anyway, I already have my eyes on a new dash and some other bits and bobs...
Brucey
Steve, No problem with the hoist, I didn't know it could do engines and gearboxes together! From what I saw, you are doing a superb job and enjoying the experience. Your Sigma SV looks like a cracking kit and I'm sure you will have many more hours of fun driving it. If you get stuck, want a second opinion or just another pair of hands, don't hesitate to call me. Bruce.
