Crutch Straps???

Are there two types of Luke Crutch Strap?

 

Have just fitted the straps supplied by Caterham to find that they will not fit into the buckle mechanism. The original straps have a straight fitment to the buckle mechanism and the new ones have a tapered fitment. The tapered fitment is too wide! Have I got the wrong straps???

 

Bloody frustrating as I now have to take the seats out again to remove the straps!!!

Yes there are two types. When I ordered mine the guy at Caterham asked me which ones I wanted and explained the difference. Still had the seat in and out several times though.

I am just about to take the seat out again to fit longer bolts..

Clive there are two types, the newer harness has the angled buckles.

 

As long as you have 1.5 meter long arms that are no thicker than a pencil the seats are easy to get in and out !!!!!!

 

We will have to arrange for a blat at some stage before lemans.

tHE OLD TYPE ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE ACCORDING TO lUKE (caplocks!) I had to grind the 'tang' to make it fit.

On my old car, I had this problem and mine had to ground down to a straight version to fit.
