Swiss_Tony Posted May 24, 2002 Share Posted May 24, 2002 The most common carbs are the weber 45s. Dellorto 45s are often used but are a bit hard to get hold of.Spares are a bit of a problem as well. SBD and QED amongst others sell the manifolds etc (for the astra) If you are getting new carbs weber do 45s with a few mods specifically for the vx engine.Better low down throttle response. stevefoster Posted May 24, 2002 Share Posted May 24, 2002 The jets I have for most power on a standard tune VX with weber 45's are Power at 7000 rpm Choke 40 Main jets 170 Emulsion tubes F16 Air corr 180 Idle 50F6 Pump 45 More road tractable but not a lot in it on 3d mapping...
