*mad* *mad* *mad* indeed.

Come on Paul, this is the ideal moment to say "Look, everyone else will be in their Sevens GJT will be bringing his nephew (who is 13 now) or niece (who is 11) - which is possible, and he would be really left out if I have to take the tintop." or words along that line. Even paraniod mothers are aware that children need to conform and be part of the crowd.

Or doesn't she trust you?

If you need some other arguements, we shedders will think up a few to help.

I reckon the poor lad is regularly quizzed when he gets home and he often asks me out of blue questions about things like money and lady friends

I'm not prepared to tell him to lie to his mum as I think that is a slippery slope

I meant don't tell her beforehand ... definitely let him go home enthusing about the great day he's had.

The trouble is now that she's so adament, it's very difficult for her to back down without losing that sense of control, but what's the worst she's going to do if you do take him out in it??

Are you the mouse in Wile's skirting?? *tongue*
