Milesk
I have wide track, I converted the old narrow track bilstein schock but the height was too low. I have subsequently bought a longer bukstein shock however I am unable to marry up the bottom hole (allan bolt) pushing down on on suspension makes no difference do I need to dismantle upper wishbone? millsn
Assuming it looks like it will fit in the first place i usually put a jack under the lower wishbone and jack the wishbone upward with the damper fitted to the upper mount. It will resist and force itself into the right place. USe a screwdriver to lever it to the right place to marry up to the hole, don't forget the spacer through the lower wishbone. nB: I'm prety sure the damper normally has an extension piece in hex bar to make it long enough.
