Easter weekend

Recommended Posts

OK, so I finally worked out a way to fit in everyone who I wanted to say hello to this weekend...

- Thursday evening: Drive (110 miles) from Ascot to Brummingum to meet a friend for curry and refreshments *tongue*

- Friday morning: Drive (180 miles) from Brum to Angle-by-the-Sea to meet Mav and Mrs Mav etc. *cool* Find somewhere on the island to stay...

- Saturday morning: Drive (260 miles) from Anglesey to Grantabridge to watch Maidenhead United. Possibly say hello to Cam shedders in passing. *wavey*

- Saturday evening: Drive (90 miles) to Maidenhead. Sleep in own bed 🥰

- Sunday afternoon: Drive (65 miles) to Climpingshire to stay with GTD and Mrs GTD (and be fed with lovely food, and sleep in the airing cupboard) *smile*

- Monday morning: Short drive to Goodwood to watch the the GRRC Spring Sprint *thumbup*

- Monday afternoon/evening: Drive (65 miles) back to Maidenhead to be fit and ready for work on Tuesday 😳

I make that 760 miles not including detours (intentional or otherwise)... *eek*

Then I saw the weather report:

Birmingham:

Thursday's predominant weather is forecast to be heavy rain
Anglesey:
Friday's predominant weather is forecast to be wintry showers
Cambridge
Saturday's predominant weather is forecast to be hail showers
The weekend in general:
There will be some sunshine at times by day, but also showers, and some of these will be heavy and wintry, with snow over high ground, and perhaps to lower levels at times in some regions, especially the north and east. Winds are likely to reach gale force at times, perhaps even with severe gales
I do have a Plan B (peek through crack in curtains, pull duvet over head and stay in bed for the weekend)...

*wink* nothing...

Met Office

UK Outlook for Saturday 22 Mar 2008 to Monday 31 Mar 2008:

The whole of the Easter Weekend looks like being cold. There will be some sunshine at times by day, but also showers, and some of these will be heavy and wintry, with snow over high ground, and perhaps to lower levels at times in some regions, especially the north and east. Winds are likely to reach gale force at times, perhaps even with severe gales for exposed eastern parts at first. Blizzard conditions are possible over the Scottish mountains. Winds should ease on Sunday or Monday, bringing an increasing risk of overnight frost. During next week, the weather should be quieter for a time with sunshine by day and overnight frost, before, less cold but still breezy and showery weather spreads southeastwards by midweek.

[God Bless Mav] *thumbup* *thumbup* *thumbup* Could be worse!![/gbm]

Mr T - forgot to ask; is there anything Toads don't like to eat? Obviously I'll make sure there are plenty of worms & snails for you, just in case, but I really don't want to cook something you wouldn't like. *smile*
