Break light problem continued !

I have a problem with the passenger side break light in my K series. There seems to be a connection problem, the break light on the other side works fine, but only the break light is out on the other cluster. I have disconnected the plug under the wing but the power isn’t getting through to the plug and socket.

I followed the wire up but it runs above the Diff and I can’t get to it. Any ideas where I might look for a week connection or how to get to the wire running above the drive shaft? Any ideas gratefully received.

I had the exact same problem, So i asked my beloved wife to sit in the car continually pressing the brake pedal while i played around with the brake light fitting, And after a while [1 minute] the brake light worked. I have now put some vaseline on the contacts to prevent moisture getting in.

 

Have a fiddle, it worked for me.
