ive decided to sell my R 500EVO SV, i want a single seat race car, possibly lola ford.

[ by the way this car is unique according to caterham and ministers, unless somone knows different]

right then spec as follows..........

250 bhp 2 litre K series, very torquey and tractible.about 190 lbs ft i think.

just remapped at ministers.

dry sumped with oil cooler and swirl tower thingy, cant remember name.

under 9000 miles and had a refresh at ministers about 2000 miles ago,

when engine was stripped they found it didnt need it!!!!!!

race clutch[ paddle type]

6 speed gearbox

refreshed LSD by road and race

corner weighted to 80 kg

4 nearly new avon R 500 plus 2 new spare

car has very recent screen and heater, wipers etc

new tonneau cover and boot cover in mohair by jill judd

also a jill judd hood

normal R 500 bits and pieces as far as im aware.

never been raced by me but have done a few track days

this car is very stable on track wet or dry, and even i lapped goodwood at 1 min 25 in

it.

caterham said car is worth £27,000 so open to offers or part exch single seater

e mail me for photos as i lack the knowledge to with the pc to put photos on here,

looking around!!!

just looked at the R 500 EVO for sale with caterham cars, ok so mine is not unique, apologies,

it looks i dentical to mine!!!!!! but £6000 more, it starts to make mine look a bargain! 😬

If I wasn't heavily committed to racing I'd be sorely tempted to buy it back ! Has it still got the beautiful carbon seats and the adjustable shocks and..etc, etc

Nick, if you want to start racing, come over to Lydden sometime and see what SEMSEC get up to...

I'm Nigel, I was the first owner of the car. Blatmail me your email address and I'll send you some photos if you're interested.

SEMSEC are the South East MotorSports club

see www.semsec.org.uk

Classic club racing, based at Lydden & Brands. Classes for tintops, single seaters, sports cars, kit cars, etc, - a bunch of petrolheads racing anything they can beg, borrow or steal. Quite serious racing but not so serious that people forget the idea is to have fun.
