jonsharland
fitting the cooling system, submarine pipe has 3 tower outlets. THe manual indicates that it should only have one. do we have the wrong pipe. also we have a white wire with 2 red stripes below the carbs what does this attach to. finally the double brown wire that the manual says should connect to the battery doesn't fit can we attach it to the starter solanoid thanks Jon
C7JFM
Jon... just taken a quick look for you at my car (98 Vx 8v). 1. The white wire with the red sripes attaches to the starter solenoid on the outer connection. 2. The two brown wires you describe go to the alternator on my car. 3. The submarine pipe on my car (no heater) has one tower. I think the Vx 16v cars have a three tower pipe. If caterham have supplied wrongly and forget to ask for the three tower pipe back could I have first refusal (perhaps for a donation to NTL )as i need one for my upgrade to 2.0 power. I hope this helps ??? Chris
jonsharland
apparently they have not supplied the wrong pipe and are going to send me the updated instruvctions but if anybody else has 8v vaux engine classic I would like to know they have a 1 or 3 tower sub pipe thanks jon
