your fuel tank?(some people eh?!)

 

I am going to pick up my shiny new SL 1600K in a couple of weeks.

 

I live up in sunny (it better had be) Manchester. Does anyone know how far I will get on a full tank of juice?

 

Also are the fuel gauges accurate?

About 36 litres I believe.

This is about 8 galls so 240 miles should be easy at reasonable speeds.

My fuel gauge sticks on 1/4 full for a while then drops straight to empty.

Thanks for that - I think will have to make a splash & dash on the approach to Manchester then just to save any possible embarrassment!

240 Miles!! Blimey, my x/f manages about 140-150 at best before it's running on fumes. And when travelling in Europe, that means putting on weight, too - 'cos stopping every two hours max. means eating at every petrol station. Well, you've got to really - be rude otherwise, especially in France....

I suppose poor fuel economy is the price to pay then! Mind I can't see myself enjoying a high speed B-road in a 900cc fiesta.

Yeah, I forgot to mention mine's a 1400 SS, which is why it's so much better than your X-flow but probably similar to Simon's car.
