yet more starting woes.... help - please.

Phil,

 

No I didn't have alternator probs. but removed it to give better access to the bottom chassis rail that was showing a bit of rust. I wouldn't have said the proximity of the primaries was too much of an issue here, indeed, it was much nearer on the X/Flow. The starter motor is much more of a problem in that respect which is why I shielded that on my car.

Having read all the foregoing, it certainly sounds to me more like a problem with the alternator itself rather than anything to do with the Zetec installation per se.

I would plump for an alternator out test by an auto-electricians.

Steve,

 

Just go with the silicon implants, it'll probably be too cold for the leotard anyhow and the wig won't survive the slipstream, due to the aeroscreen.

Trust me, you will look just fine!
