Removing spilled brake fluid

Recommended Posts

My standard brake master cylinder spat its seals and most of its contents onto the footwell mat, and over the brake pedal rubber, making everything very slippery.

I have removed as much liquid as i can, but i seem to still have a residue that i cannot shift. It has resisted even the ultimate cleaning tool, the babywipe, so any ideas?

Also, i am fitting a new M/C that i bought from Scooters sell off, any thing i should watch out for when i do the fitting, not had to mess with this sort of stuff before.
