Molecular--Bob
My standard brake master cylinder spat its seals and most of its contents onto the footwell mat, and over the brake pedal rubber, making everything very slippery. I have removed as much liquid as i can, but i seem to still have a residue that i cannot shift. It has resisted even the ultimate cleaning tool, the babywipe, so any ideas? Also, i am fitting a new M/C that i bought from Scooters sell off, any thing i should watch out for when i do the fitting, not had to mess with this sort of stuff before. Dickie Normuss
Given brake fluid is an oil could you take the mat our of the car and use a diluted detergent on it 🤔 I wouldn't use Fairy as it contains salt, or at least that's what I was told. susser
A good flush with water and a little bit of soap ought to do well. IMHO.
