pburt
Spotted you at the "10 items or less" checkout Friday lunchtime. Would have said "hi" there and then but v. short on time and well back in the queue. Peter Burt

pburt
Grammatically, of course, you are correct, Cannonball. However, I will check the sign next time I'm in the store (it definitely says "less" in Tesco!) I take it you're not the guy in the polo shirt! Cannonball Bob
Nah, not me I'm afraid. Just cashing in on the Grumpy Old Man movement to correct poor corporate grammar. Bit like no apostrophe in Barons Court tube station name plate. Tesco I can accept as not having a clue, but Waitrose? 😳
Stationary M25 Traveller
In Waitrose Longfield it is '10 items or fewer' ! 7 related photos
pburt
Same in Sevenoaks . But the guy with the "50th" polo was not there. Perhaps he had more than 10 items today (or should that be "greater" than 10?!) I'm going to shop in Sainsburys in future - it's simply "Baskets only" fast-track checkout there!!! Cannonball, I'm relying on you to crack down hard on the its/it's, your/you're misuse on here in future. (Note to self: must get out more) Peter Burt
