AndyA
Yes mine is a side exit, how do you define 'competition'?

DohNut
Aves, as the aforementioned competition, vis a vis hi-jacking the *for sale* thread and the etiquete therof appears to have unearthed more silencers than buyers, I think that puts me a rather good position. AndyA
Not wishing to appear to have 'hi-jacked'(apologies),but posting was purely based upon the relationship of seller/buyer locations, as it appeared that the first posting and response were based at the southern end of the country. Although residing only 20miles away from Curborough does have advantages! Could always take it there? Diameters - with being such a novice - which bit do you require measuring. (I was led to believe that when the original rear exit was put back on for Graduates racing that the 4:1 was a 1700xflow exhaust - if that helps) Edited by - andya on 15 May 2002 17:53:
DohNut
Andy Assuming that it is off a 4:1 manifold for x-flow then I believe that they all had a *pipe* diameter of 2.25 inches but some (mine) has a 4inch diameter silencer I think that they also came in 5inch silencer, and maybe other sizes. AndyA
silencer diameter 125mm (5inch), exhaust/pipe dia 50mm (2inch), manifold ports dia 40mm (1.5inch) - does that sound right?
