CharlesElliott
Does the standard oil pressure sender (on a K series) need a washer between the sender and the oil filter housing? I've unscrewed mine and can't remember now! Peter T
Only if it is not a taper fitting. You should be able to see if it screwed all the way in by the witness marks on the thread.
shn7
Seem to remember a crush washer on mine but it's been a while since I removed it and went mechanical. Steve. Sussex (West) AR Not forgetting Percy the Polar Bear
CharlesElliott
Thanks both. I'm 99% sure it isn't a taper, so I think there is/was a washer somewhere in the garage..... Kevsta
Mine doesn't require a washer as it is a tapered fitting. Mine is a K with VDO sender. I also have mine remote and use a hose from think....again with a taper fitting so no wahser at either end.
CharlesElliott
Mine is now remote but it's an M14 non-tapered fitting at the block end. I found the washer though 😬 Charles --- My SuperGraduates 2006 diary My SuperGraduates 2005 diary, My Caterham Academy 2004 build and race diary
