Irrelevant
Would anyone happen to know where I could buy some M8x1 female stainless bosses? Ideally 10mm or more deep - so I can't use an M8x1 nut. It's for welding into an exhaust manifold so I can fit EGT sensors. TIA BTW, Thinkauto don't do them and won't make me any.

Irrelevant
DSL: Ta. EBD don't have any ☹️ I need 4 so I won't trouble Ian. PeterT: I would but I don't have any stainless of an appropriate size and can't be 🙆🏻'd going to MetalSupermarket just to get a few inches of stainless rod. If I can't get any bosses, I will try and scrounge some stainless rod from one of the local engineering companies. Unless someone has a few inches of c.18mm stainless rod going spare of course

Atinod
Adam, This crowd from another thread here have s/s retaining nuts on page 6 [on the pull down selection]. Any good ? Edited to say go to 'Products' then 'Product selection' page 6 Edited by - Atinod on 3 Jan 2008 16:07:
Irrelevant
Ta Atinod but these are actually M8 course threaded (I phoned them) which is x1.5 thread pitch. I need x1 thread pitch which is M8 fine (1.25 being std for M8 threads IIRC).
