rj
Would I be rude if I told you that I have just removed mine - but do not intend to part with that ugly noisy thing? (Have an upcoming trackday where the noise limit is ridiculously low, and have had to fit a rear exit system - what a difference!!!) /r
7 wonders of the world
Extremely rude Noisy yes 😬 I have heard they're not the quietest on the planet, never really thought of them as ugly though unless you've a version I've not seen Too young to be old ! 7 wonders of the world
Piccy's got held up in the spam filter but eventually landed Are you sure this is a R500 as it looks identical to my current VHPD version ie much longer than the R500's I've seen, with a cranked inlet as opposed to straight and it's not repackable either? Ironically it's grounded in the same place as mine too! Thanks Too young to be old ! Paul McKenzie
Neil, You must be correct 😳 I thought it was R500 as it is so much bigger than the one on my mate's SLR , but I guess things have moved on. Paul

SimonMac
Hi, I have available a Raceco Titanium silencer (2.5" inlet) available which has covered less than 200 miles and is basically in perfect/new condition, if you're interested?
7 wonders of the world
Hi Simon, Could be, Could you let me know what lenth the silencer is and the diameter too, I'm looking to match this to my exsiting VHPD 4-2-1 so overal length is tight inoorder to leave me enough room for the reworked collector pipe. Why the change Cheers Too young to be old !
SimonMac
Hi, I'll measure the length tonight and double-check the diameter however I think it's the smaller of the 2 Racecos (6"). I bought it from an ex-Se7ener who sold his Caterham very sloon after upgrading so removed the can before he sold it. I held onto it for about a year whilst thinking about mating it to my 4-1 (2.25" bore) before deciding it was not worth the hassle having parts refabricated. 7 wonders of the world
Hi Simon, and there was me thinking you hadn't sent the piccys yet Piccy's didn't come through , I expect the works filter pulled them out based on the 740mm dimension you gave me though i will unfortunatley too long for my fitment so i'll pass over to Castrada Thanks again Too young to be old !
